West Brom made it five wins in seven games under Jimmy Shan as they came from behind to beat Hull City at The Hawthorns yesterday.
The Baggies are in an unusual position as they seem nailed on for fourth place as we approach the final three games of the campaign, so they have little to play for.
Nevertheless, Shan will want to see his players go into the play-offs in good form and key individuals performing well.
And, whilst the team got the three points, it was a concerning display from keeper Sam Johnstone.
The former Aston Villa stopper was beaten from range twice by Hull full-back Todd Kane with efforts that he really would’ve expected to save. He seemed to lose concentration on both occasions and his positioning was questionable too.
Johnstone has been guilty of making several errors like that this season and it’s fair to say it has got the fans worried.
Here’s how they reacted to his performance…
Johnstone at fault for both goals yesterday #WBA

I'm concerned about Johnstone. Very good reactions shot stopper but poor decision maker. I'm no expert (perhaps someone could speak up) but I think his starting positions are frequently wrong. #WBA

Just seen the goals back, Johnstone should be doing better with both for me. That said, the defending for the 1st goal was pathetic. Should never have been given that much time & space to shoot. #wba

Just watched the goals on sky, oh dear Sam Johnstone very poor, we have some very good players covering some very poor players #WBA

The bloke sat behind today said Johnstone is the worst Albion keeper in 40 years well well #wba

How is Sam Johnstone the number one choice every game. Shocking again. He never inspires any confidence. #wba

Johnstone cannot be trusted for any play-off. #wba Needs resting
