It has been a turbulent few days for Cameron Carter-Vickers, who this week has ended his loan spell at Sheffield United, before linking up with a Sky Bet Championship rival, Ipswich Town.

The Blades cut Carter-Vickers’ loan spell short earlier in the week, with Chris Wilder citing that he couldn’t guarantee the defender regular football at Bramall Lane.

Ipswich have moved swiftly announce the 20-year-old’s arrival at Portman Road, with the defender arriving on a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur.

Carter-Vickers had made 18 appearances across all competitions for the Blades during his time at Bramall Lane, helping to put the club into serious promotion contention.

Mick McCarthy will welcome his latest recruit into his squad for tomorrow’s clash with Bolton Wanderers, when Ipswich will be looking to cut the four-point gap that currently separates them and the Blades, who occupy the final place in the top-six.
