Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Adam Reach thinks that the club's performance against Leeds during their last fixture before the international break has 'set a benchmark' for how they need to perform for the rest of the season.

Speaking to the Owls' official website before this weekend's game with Bolton Wanderers, Reach had some encouraging words about his team following their demolition job of Leeds United last time out.

“We set a benchmark for ourselves before the break against Leeds, individually and collectively, and I think it’s important now to maintain that level and start climbing the table.

“It doesn’t matter how they play, if we’re anywhere near the levels we were against Leeds then we should win." Reach said.

Wednesday had had an inconistent start to the season under manager Carlos Carvalhal with crushing defeats to Birmingham City and local rivals Sheffield United, before a Gary Hooper inspired performance against Leeds gave them a comfortable 3-0 win at Hillsborough.

The Owls have missed out on promotion during the last two seasons with playoff defeats to Hull City and Huddersfield. They will be expecting to be up there again this season, and Reach and co will be hoping to replicate their form against the Whites more often.

Owls fans, what do you think to Reach's comments? Can you win promotion? Let us know!
