Sheffield Wednesday will be keen to build on a positive start to this year's league campaign under the management of Garry Monk.

The Owls started the season on minus 12 points, but got off to the perfect start with a 2-0 win over Cardiff City on the opening weekend of fixtures.

It's been a summer of change at Hillsborough, with a number of players leaving the club, as Monk looked to move the so-called 'deadwood' on ahead of the 2020/21 season.

We take a look at the latest transfer rumours at Sheffield Wednesday as we edge closer towards the summer transfer window closing.

Jacob Murphy

Murphy spent last year's campaign on loan with the Owls from Newcastle United, but return to the Magpies in the summer.

Garry Monk has recently revealed to Yorkshire Live that he is keen to sign the winger again, but only if the opportunity is to arise in the future.

"You all know what I feel about Jacob and we all know what he feels about the club here.

"If that opportunity does arise, I would love to bring him back here. Why wouldn't I? But we also have to understand that he's not our player. He’s a Newcastle player and he’s doing his job for them."

The Glasgow Times has reported that Murphy could be keen on a move to Scottish giants Rangers, which would come as a real blow to the Owls.

Kenneth Zohore

Sheffield Wednesday had previously been interested in a deal to sign West Brom forward Kenneth Zohore according to the Daily Mail.

Nixon has since revealed that a deal has somewhat stalled over his wage demands, and it remains to be seen as to whether an agreement can be reached anytime soon.

Korede Adedoyin

Adedoyin spent a considerable amount of time on trial with Sheffield Wednesday during the summer after he was released by Premier League side Everton.

The club confirmed that they had signed him permanently at the weekend though, and he'll be hoping he can make an instant impact with the Owls.
