Sheffield Wednesday produced their best performance of the Jos Luhukay era last night, as they swept aside Derby County at Hillsborough, recording a 2-0 victory over the automatic promotion hopefuls.

Lucas Joao’s brace secured all three points for the Owls, who have moved to 15^th in the Sky Bet Championship table and nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Barry Bannan, who is currently out of action with injury, was quick to praise his teammates following their victory, labelling their performance as outstanding on Twitter.

Following Bannan’s update, Wednesday’s supporters were quick to ask about the 28-year-old’s fitness, after he confirmed earlier this week that he was set to see a specialist in London.

As expected, Wednesday’s supporters bombarded the midfielder with questions about his fitness, with the Hillsborough faithful keen to find out when Bannan will be back available to Luhukay, having not featured since December.
