Sheffield Wednesday certainly need a bit of extra spark at the moment and it is a bit hard to see exactly where it is coming from.
The men from Hillsborough started this season expecting to challenge again for the top six and, though they still might, they need to get themselves going as soon as possible. Carlos Carvalhal will be looking at his squad members wondering who is going to help them get out of things, then, as it appears as though their chief spark Fernando Forestieri is still some way off of returning.
The attacker has been out for most of this season and Owls fans are naturally eager to see him back as soon as possible. But, though he is on track to return from his injury, Carvalhal has revealed that he is still some way off.
Quoted by Wednesday’s Twitter account, he said:
CC: I talk with Fernando, he is still long, long weeks away, we don't know the timings but he is doing very well on the process #swfcLIVE

The waiting game must continue for Owls fans, then, as they head into a game with Barnsley this weekend really needing three points. A win in a derby game could the perfect springboard to the rest of their season, though, and so it remains to be seen how they do.
Forestieri is going to be much needed for the Owls but they cannot just wait for him to return.
The other attacking players need to roll their sleeves up in the coming games and it is going to be interesting to see how they do against the Tykes this weekend.
