It's been a decent season for Sheffield Wednesday so far, but one man has stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Dominic Iorfa has been one of Garry Monk's top performers so far this term with his dominant displays in defence helping the Owls to ninth in the table.

Such has been his impact, the 24-year-old has been awarded Sheffield Wednesday's November Player of the Month award.

The defender was a popular choice for the prize after really finding his feet this term, with many supporters backing the decision to give him the prize.

After the start of his season was hindered by suspension and a lack of form at right back, Iorfa has gone on to make 17 appearances in all competitions making him a first team regular under Monk.

Iorfa took to social media after being given the award with a simple message for the Sheffield Wednesday supporters this term.

He said: "Thanks for all your support."

A simple message from a man who means business both on and off the pitch.

Do you know where these 15 ex-Sheffield Wednesday stars are playing now? Let's find out!

The verdict

There's no doubting that Dominic Iorfa was deserving of the award.

In a season that's been filled with inconsistency by so many of the Sheffield Wednesday team, the defender has been an encouraging presence at the back.

Let's hope he can maintain this form in the weeks and months ahead.
