Sheffield Wednesday winger Adam Reach has claimed he is ‘in the form of his life’ in an interview with the The Star, following yet another goal for the Owls in Saturday’s impressive 2-1 win over Aston Villa.

The former Middlesbrough man opened the scoring after just one minute with a sublime left-footed volley into the top corner from 25 yards following a poor clearance from John Terry.

The goal marked the third consecutive game in which the impressive winger has found the net, and Reach’s form has helped the Owls to rise to 11th place, just two points outside the division play offs.

Reach has shared his playing time this season between the left-wing and left-back berths, but it appears manager Carlos Carvalhal has decided that the player’s best position lies in the more attack-minded role.

The 24-year-old will hope to continue his fine form following the international break, when the Owls entertain high-flying Bristol City at Hillsborough.

The Verdict

Reach is exhibiting wonderful form, and his admission that he is in the form of his life is certainly looking true at the moment.

Three goals in three matches is a wonderful return for the former Middlesbrough man, who will have his eyes set on promotion this season, and a continuation of his excellent form.

Reach needs others in the Owls squad to begin to emulate his form and recent success if the club are to become serious promotion candidates, but with the likes of Jordan Rhodes beginning to experience an upturn in form, the Hillsborough outfit could become dangerous in the coming weeks and months.

Wednesday fans, is your faith in Carvalhal beginning to return?
