Sheffield Wednesday have been in an awful run of form in recent weeks and many fans have been calling for Jos Luhukay to be dismissed as manager of the club.

The Owls have been on a slide down the table and are currently 16th in the Championship table, just five points above the play-off places.

Many supporters will be concerned that they could fall further down the table the longer that Luhukay is in charge.

They face Rotherham this weekend at Hillsborough where nothing more than a win will be acceptable for the Sheffield Wednesday faithful.

Owls skipper Tom Lees acknowledged that they have struggled against the lower placed teams in the Championship in recent seasons as they aim to pick up three points this weekend.

"These are the games we have found hard over the last couple of seasons - against the likes of Burton at home, Millwall and Rotherham.

"Those games in previous seasons are the ones that we have found difficult," Lees admitted in a recent interview with the Sheffield Star.

The defender is keen for his side to pick up some positive results over the festive period, with tougher games to come in the New Year.

"Looking at the fixtures now, there has got to be some winnable games for us.

"Then after Christmas it is back to some tough opponents."

The Verdict:

Sheffield Wednesday have been in a rotten run of form and fans will be seriously concerned that they could drop into the relegation zone if they improve.

I think it's all down to Jos Luhukay though, as he is a man under a considerable amount of pressure at the moment and his team selections have been questionable to say the least.

But with an easier set of fixtures to come across the festive period, Luhukay will be hoping that he can steer his side away from the relegation places and back up the table to where they have the potential to be.
