Sheffield Wednesday fans could well see some big changes this summer as manager Jos Luhukay looks to shape his squad and make new signings, while also ridding the club of some big earners who are not performing.

The Owls, who had a poor campaign last time out, have invested heavily over the last three seasons or so, but are now paying a price for not winning promotion after losing out in two playoff campaigns running under former gaffer Carlos Carvalhal.

Wednesday have plenty of ability within the squad at the moment, but there has been a growing sense for some time that the club are overpaying certain players for their contributions - or lack of - and we at FLW think it's about time the club acted.

One player we think needs moving on is former Middlesbrough striker Jordan Rhodes, who has flopped massively since making his move to the club 18 months ago.

Often unfit and seemingly lacking interest at times, Rhodes has looked a shadow of his former self, despite still being rated at a hefty £5.4m by Transfermarkt.

The likes of Lucas Joao and Atdhe Nuhiu usurped Rhodes last term, and with Gary Hooper, Fernando Forestieri, and Steven Fletcher all still on the books, it would be a wise move indeed for the Owls to shift on the big earning Rhodes.

Wednesday fans, what do you think to Rhodes? Should he be sold? Let us know in the comments!
