Sheffield Wednesday have had a strange old season to say the least, with the club falling way way short of any sort of promotion challenge, and the Owls fans becoming increasingly frustrated at matters both on and off the field.

Manager Carlos Carvalhal was moved on, while relative unknown Jos Luhukay has taken over the reins at the club and has had an up and down start to life in the English game.

However, three consecutive wins have got some of the good feeling back amongst the club, and with a summer transfer window right around the corner, Wednesday fans will be hoping to see some big new signings between now and next season.

One player who we at FLW feel could do a job in the Championship for a club like Wednesday is Peterborough United attacking midfielder Marcus Maddison, who has once again had an excellent season from out wide down in League One with the Posh.

Maddison, who has been a goal threat all his career and has stats to back it up, has smashed in 11 goals in all competitions this term to further enhance his glowing reputation. At 24-years-old, Maddison will surely start thinking of looking at a move to the Championship if the Posh do not make it up this term, and the Owls are a huge club.

Classy on the ball, good from dead balls, and able to play numerous positions, Maddison would be a superb addition for Luhukay and Wednesday if they can snap him up.

Owls fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
