Sheffield Wednesday's season is in something of a mess at the moment, with the Owls struggling for form under manager Jos Luhukay.

A spirited point though at rivals Sheffield United last time out might well do the club the world of good though, and it will be interesting to see how the club react upon their return to football following the international break.

However, Luhukay would appear to be on borrowed time if many fans' opinions are to be taken into account, and we think that if he does get to January, then the club need to back him with some fresh, hungry players who can come into the club.

The Owls need to be changing tact really in terms of signings, and after years of paying big wages and fees, we think they could well do with looking lower down.

And one player we think could fit the mould is former Sheffield United striker Lyle Taylor, who has been in fine form for Charlton Athletic this term.

Taylor has already knocked in nine goals for the Addicks, and at 28, he might well be heading into his prime, meaning a move to the Championship could come at just the right time.

The striker is quick, a good finisher, and someone with a point to prove in Sheffield following his spell at Bramall Lane. He might not be the most glamorous of signings, but Taylor could be just what Wednesday need as they head into the new year.

Owls fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know!
