Sheffield Wednesday should save this player from his Leeds United nightmare

Jos Luhukay has endured a very difficult start to life as Sheffield Wednesday manager which has already seen reports question how long he will be at the club.

However, if the former Gladbach boss does guide the Owls away from the relegation zone, he will begin planning for next season and the summer will surely see big changes at Hillsborough.

Several players will come and go but Wednesday may not have the biggest budget given the money that has been spent over the years.

Therefore, Luhukay will have to be smart in the market and one man he could sign is Hadi Sacko from Leeds.

Whilst fans will initially dismiss the idea of bringing in a player that doesn’t get in at Elland Road, he could benefit Wednesday.

Firstly, he has genuine pace and that is a glaring weakness in the Owls squad. They have very few players who can beat a man but Sacko can.

That speed also provides a threat on the counter attack, again something that has been lacking this season.

As well as that, he’s young and still has time to improve. Sacko did well under Garry Monk in his first season in England but Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom haven’t shown the same faith in him.

At 23-years old, the French winger still has time to develop his game and if the Owls coaching staff really appreciated his talent, he could become a good player in the second tier.

Finally, he will be available. As mentioned, Heckingbottom doesn’t seem keen on the player so a deal should be pretty straightforward in the summer.
