According to the printed version of The Daily Star - via HITC - Sheffield Wednesday are looking at Wolves' Ben Marshall with a view to a potential move in the January window.

The Owls have not had a good campaign so far this season with them struggling for form and looking like a team that doesn't look close to getting into the top six places.

Wolves, with their new faces, have had a flyer up until now, but those summer arrivals have meant that the likes of Ben Marshall cannot get near the side.

Marshall could be up for a move away, then, and it would seem as though the Owls are weighing up whether or not they'd like to offer him a route out of Molineux.

Wednesday fans will remember the wide-man from when he played for them for a short spell when they were in League One.

He did well during that time, too, and might enjoy going back to familiar surroundings where he highlighted what he could do when in form.

Certainly, he is not going to get much of a chance to feature, you feel, at Wolves this season and so this is the sort of deal you could see going through.

The Verdict

The Owls need some more spark going forwards so maybe Marshall can add that.

He did plenty offensively for the Owls in League One and a repeat of such a stint would surely be welcome as they look to improve this season.
