Sheffield Wednesday will be looking to round off an excellent few days by recording consecutive Championship home wins for the first time since December against Millwall tomorrow.

The Owls were in dire straits after last Saturday's narrow defeat at Wycombe Wanderers left them 10-points from safety and on a four-match losing streak.

However, beating Bournemouth on Tuesday, their first Hillsborough success since February, saw them close the gap to seven points - which soon became just three after their 12-point deduction was reduced to six points.

It means that victory over the Lions on Saturday could see Wednesday climb off the foot of the Championship table and possibly out of the relegation-zone depending on other results.

But it isn't all good news for Owls boss Garry Monk, who'll be without winger Kadeem Harris for the next three games - which includes the visit of Millwall.

Harris was sent off in stoppage-time of Tuesday's 1-0 win over Bournemouth, and after Wednesday had their appeal rejected, he'll now be suspended for the games against the Lions and then Preston and Swansea after the international break.

The Verdict

This will be extremely frustrating for Monk, more so because it was a completely unnecessary act by Harris, who didn't even need to make a challenge, especially so late in the game.

However, it could hand an opportunity to someone like Izzy Brown to step in, although another attacking option replacing Harris depends on whether Monk opts to move away from the 3-5-2 formation which served Wednesday so well in midweek.
