Sheffield Wednesday have recalled Wolves loan star Jeremy Helan in light of their recent left-back shortage, according to the club’s official website.
An injury to Joe Bennet has left the Owls with a problem in the berth, leaving only Daniel Pudil as the only recognised option.
The Aston Villa loanee twisted his knee in training over the course of the weekend and could face a race to be fit in time to be fit before the end of the season.
With a potential playoff run on the horizon, manager Carlos Carvalhal has been forced into bringing the Frenchman back to Hillsborough.
Helan only moved to the Midlands at the end of February on loan and Wednesday are thought to have invoked a 24-hour release clause within the first 28 days.

With Kenny Jackett’s side marooned in mid-table, the former Manchester City youngster will obviously be of more use to his parent club.
The Owls are currently occupying the last spot in the playoffs, six points ahead of closest challengers Cardiff City with just three games remaining.
They travel to Derby County this weekend, who have already confirmed their spot in the roulette that is the playoffs.
The right move by Carvalhal? One he had to make?
