Sheffield Wednesday have agreed terms with former Everton midfielder Dennis Adeniran meaning he could see him make the switch to Hillsborough imminently, according to the Sheffield Star.
It has previously been reported that the Owls are interested in adding the midfielder to their squad this summer. That came with it being believed that Wednesday were in pole position to secure his signature despite interest having emerged from the likes of Blackpool and Luton Town.
According to the latest report from the Sheffield Star, the Owls have now managed to agree the terms of a deal with Adeniran that would see him join Darren Moore’s squad for the start of the League One campaign. It is believed that Sheffield Wednesday hope to tie up the move as soon as possible.

The report added that there is even a chance that he could feature for the Owls in their pre-season encounter against Chester. Moore will be hopeful that he can get Adeniran into his squad to boost the numbers he has available to him and help add more competition in midfield.
This is excellent news for Sheffield Wednesday and suggests that they are very close to announcing Adeniran as their new signing. Getting a player of the midfielder’s potential through the door in the situation that the Owls are in would be brilliant business and show that there is hope that they can have a good season in League One next term under Moore.
Adeniran is someone that Moore obviously feels he can work with and get the best out over the next few years and that makes him a strong addition to the squad. The midfielder should be able to flourish under the coaching of Moore at Hillsborough after showing a lot of promise during a loan spell with Wycombe Wanderers last term.
These kinds of additions will prove vital to Sheffield Wednesday in the third tier and they know they have to pick up talented players then can develop now rather than buying the finished article. Adeniran would be a positive signing and show signs they are moving in the right direction.
