Sheffield Wednesday owner Dejphon Chansiri has fronted up to supporters and answered the questions around the delay in the Owls new kit going on sale.
In a feature for the Owls’ official website, the club owner took the time to answer the questions around the kit, which was only launched a few weeks ago and had been causing plenty of controversy among Wednesday fans as their poor start to the season was compounded by what looked like an unprofessional situation off the field.
Chansiri noted a ‘lack of confidence’ when it came to communicating the situation to Owls fans, while he also went into detail around the contractual obligations which held the club back when trying to sort out the new kit in time for the beginning of the season.
The Owls supremo though remained confident in his answer that he has made the right decision for the club, citing the chance to turn ‘profit’ from their current set up, as well as having ‘more control over stocking and re-stocking issues’.
The news is likely to come as a relief to Wednesday fans who were largely left in the dark over the situation.
On the field, the Owls have picked up of late and scored an excellent win at Aston Villa last time out to ensure they went into the international break with two wins on the bounce.
Wednesday fans, what do you make of Chansiri’s response? Let us know in the comments!
