Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay has said he will no address the contract situation of members of his squad before the end of the current season.

In a report by the Sheffield Star, speaking ahead of today's win over Preston North End, Owls boss Luhukay refused to be drawn on entering into discussions regarding seven of his squad who will be free to move on at the end of the current campaign for nothing.

The likes of first teamers Daniel Pudil, Glenn Loovens, and Sean Clare are among the players to be out of contract, while youngster George Hirst is also on the list, as well as experienced Scottish winger Ross Wallace.

However, Luhukay says the club will 'sit down at the end of the season' with the club's focus solely on the final run in to the season as the Owls look to secure as high a finish as they can in the Championship table following what has been a miserable campaign overall.

Luhukay called on the players - who also include in-form striker Atdhe Nuhiu - to 'have some patience' when it comes to agreeing new deals at this stage of the season.

Owls fans, what do you think to this? Is Luhukay right to make them wait? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
