Sheffield Wednesday keeper Cameron Dawson has revealed he expects changes to be made with the club's goalkeepers this summer.

The Owls are very well stocked in that position with Kieren Westwood, Joe Wildsmith and Dawson all competing for the number one shirt.

Whilst Westwood is the most senior option, the Ireland international has suffered with injury this season, creating an opportunity for the two younger stoppers.

They've both been given a chance in the first-team at times this season with Dawson set to continue in goal tomorrow after a string of impressive performances.

However, the 22-year old told the Sheffield Star that he can't envisage all three players will still be at Hillsborough next season given their desire to play regularly.

"I would imagine there is going to have to be some sort of give somewhere. I don’t think all three of us can be sat here for the first game of the season ready to go. Whether it’s loans or something, there’s going to have to be some (movement)."

The Verdict

Wednesday have three very good options in goal but Dawson has a point here as they will all want to be playing regularly next season.

That gives Jos Luhukay a potential problem in the summer and he will have a tough decision to make.

Given his age and salary, they may have to sacrifice Westwood who has been a fantastic player for the Owls over the years.
