Sky Bet Championship club Sheffield Wednesday could be about to secure the loan signing of Sunderland striker Danny Graham, according to Team Talk.
The target man has fallen way down the pecking order at the Stadium of Light and was linked with a move to Hillsborough a few weeks back although it never came to fruition.
Now it seems that the Black Cats are keen to offload four players on loan and the ex-Swansea City striker is one of the unlucky quartet.
The Owls are prepared to pay Graham’s wages in full and the decision is now to the player, who is likely to welcome the idea of playing regular football once again, albeit in the Championship.
The Owls have started the season reasonably well and sit in 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship, having already secured a place in the Last 16 of the Capital One Cup.
The arrival of someone as potent in front of goal as Graham to the Owls, could see them rise significantly up the table and may turn them into genuine play-off candidates.
Graham will no doubt be hoping for regular first-team football, and a move to Carlos Carvahal’s Sheffield Wednesday could be the perfect platform for him to excel and rekindle his form he showcased at Watford.
Wednesday fans… Would you welcome Graham to Hillsborough? Who would he play up front with? Has he got the ability to play in the Championship? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
