Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United are persistent in their interest in MK Dons midfielder Danny Green, according to MK Web.

Green is wanted by both Sheffield clubs

The former Nottingham Forest midfielder was linked with a £100,000 move to both teams on Sunday, but immediately reacted to the news by committing himself to the Dons in an outburst on social media.

The 26-year-old only played fourteen games last season but did enough to impress those watching him from both United and Wednesday, who are both reportedly after his signature.

He said on twitter: “Both clubs are massive clubs, And great clubs but I don’t think there is any truth in the rumours.”

MK Dons are looking to keep hold of their stars this summer as they prepare for Championship football for the first time in their short history, and Green will definitely have a part to play in that.

They were promoted last season from League One on the final day after Preston managed to lose to Colchester and the Dons beat Yeovil Town 5-1.

Sheffield Wednesday and United fans… What do you make of this news? Would Green be a good signing? Let us know in the comments below.
