Sheffield Wednesday are locked in a transfer tussle with QPR and Barnsley to the potential signing of MK Dons striker, Chuks Aneke according to TEAMtalk.
It is also claimed that Hull City, Wigan and Portsmouth are interested in signing Aneke, who's evidently a player in significant demand heading into the summer.
The forward was hugely impressive for the League Two side last season, as he netted 19 goals in all competitions as they won promotion to League One on the final day of the season.
Aneke has previously been on the books with Arsenal, before leaving the Gunners back in 2014 when his contract expired.
The report claims that MK Dons have offered their talisman a new contract, but face a real battle to keep hold of him ahead of next season.
He's surely going to have had his head turned after the reported interest in his services, and he'll be weighing up his options before making a decision on his future.
A move to the Championship in particular will be of interest to the 25-year-old, but he'll be looking to find regular game time wherever he heads to.
It's unlikely to be the last we hear of speculation linking Aneke with a move away from MK Dons, but the League One side will be doing everything they can to tie him down to a new deal in the near future.
The Verdict:
He's more than good enough to be playing at a higher level than he currently is.
I would be surprised if he wasn't to move away from MK Dons this summer, but he'll have to consider his next move carefully as it could make or break his career.
Aneke will need regular first-team opportunities, and I'm not convinced that any of the Championship sides interested could offer him that.
