Reading FC have accepted a formal bid from Sheffield Wednesday for Nick Blackman, according to Sky Sports.
Sheffield Wednesday will begin talks with the Reading hitman over a potential move to Hillsborough.
The striker has been a key part of Reading’s season after netting 13 goals for the club – including their last gasp winner over Bristol City at the weekend.
The 26 year old signed from Sheffield United in 2013 for £1 million and is out of contract in the summer. He has made 114 appearances for The Royals, scoring 22 times.
Sheffield Wednesday have seemingly targeted Blackman in their bid to bolster their attacking options to push into the top six.
The Owls occupy seventh place in the Championship and are only two points away from sixth placed Ipswich Town.
If talks are successful, Blackman could be in the Owls squad to make his home debut against Fulham in the FA Cup third round tie at the weekend.
