Sheffield Wednesday will be hoping to record consecutive Championship victories for the first time in 2020 when they take on Blackburn Rovers on Boxing Day.
The Owls ended their four-match losing run by beating Coventry last Saturday, which also marked Tony Pulis’ first victory since replacing Garry Monk in the Hillsborough dugout last month.
Wednesday still remain in the relegation-zone, but the 1-0 win at least ensured that Pulis’ men avoided spending Christmas on the bottom of the Championship table.

Next up for the Owls is a trip to Ewood Park and a clash against the league’s top goalscorers.
But ahead of the game in Lancashire, Pulis revealed some bad news on the injury front – with the Owls boss facing the prospect of being without three of his key players to face Tony Mowbray’s men.
He told Yorkshire Live: “[Josh] Windass, [Barry] Bannan and [Kadeem] Harris have not done much training this week. We will assess them this afternoon and then decide what team to go with.”
Having build up some momentum following the crucial three points against the Sky Blues, this is exactly what Pulis didn’t need ahead of a period of three games in the space of seven days.
Whilst the trio haven’t yet been ruled out of the game at Ewood Park, you’d be surprised to see any of the three risked, especially with a more winnable meeting with Middlesbrough in the pipeline just three days later.
Whatever the case is with injuries, Wednesday are going to need to be at their very best to avoid suffering a second Boxing Day defeat on the bounce.
