Championship sides Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham are ready to go head-to-head to secure the loan signing of out-of-favour Brighton midfielder Rohan Ince, according to The Mirror.
The 23-year-old has slipped down the pecking order at the Amex Stadium, making just 15 appearances in all competitions this season, and has not appeared in the league since 12th December.
With Chris Hughton having brought in Steve Sidwell on loan from Stoke City, Ince’s opportunities are likely to become even more scarce throughout the remainder of the season.
As a result, the club are reportedly ready to let the former Chelsea youth talent leave on a temporary basis in order to play regular first-team football, and both Fulham and Wednesday are thought to be keen.
Before falling out of favour this season, Ince was a key player for Hughton’s side, playing 70 matches in all competitions during the previous two campaigns.
Brighton are currently fourth in the Championship, just five points off an automatic promotion spot.
