The future of Morgan Fox at Sheffield Wednesday has been a much-talked about topic heading into the January transfer window.

The full-back is out of contract with the Owls at the end of this year's campaign, which has seen other clubs register their interest in landing his signature after a number of strong performances.

TEAMtalk have previously reported that the likes of West Brom and Nottingham Forest were just some of the teams keen to enter talks with the defender over a potential agreement, although a formal approach is yet to materialise.

Speaking in an interview with The Star, Fox revealed that he is content with where he is at this moment in time, which will be a relief to hear for the Hillsborough faithful.

"For me, it is not a big problem. I have spoken with the gaffer and things like that.

"We are all happy with where we are."

The 26-year-old went on to admit that he is happy with Sheffield Wednesday and is fully-focused on the task at hand, with Garry Monk's men still in contention for a top-six finish.

"I am happy here and playing my football.

"With the amount of games that we had over Christmas, you almost don't have time to think about anything else. We have now got a couple of other big games coming up so we are focused on it."

Fox and his Sheffield Wednesday team-mates are back in action on Saturday, when they take on league leaders Leeds United, in what is certain to be a tricky test for Garry Monk's side at Elland Road.

The Verdict:

This will be reassuring to hear for Garry Monk and the Sheffield Wednesday supporters.

Fox has really impressed me this season, and I think the Owls need to look at entering talks with him over a new deal in the near future.

Before this season I had my doubts over whether he was good enough for Sheffield Wednesday, but I'm pleased to say that he's proven me wrong, and would be more than deserving over a new deal before his contract expires in the summer of 2020.
