Sheffield Wednesday could allow flop striker Jordan Rhodes to leave the club in the summer, and both Bolton and Ipswich are interested in signing the Scotland striker, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon.
The Owls |struggled to get the best out of Rhodes since signing in him in January of 2017 for a fee of around £9m from Middlesbrough. The former Huddersfield and Blackburn man has struggled for both form and fitness during his time at Hillsborough, and with a summer clearout looking already on the cards, Rhodes could be on his way.
Both Bolton and Ipswich are expected to remain in the Championship after seasons battling down near the bottom of the table, with Bolton picking up a vital win over Aston Villa yesterday. The Trotters especially will be keen to land a new striker after losing star man Gary Madine to Cardiff in the January window.
Rhodes himself could be keen to move on, however, he is known to be on a hefty wage at Hillsborough, and this could potentially be a stumbling block for any potential new club.
Wednesday fans, what do you make of Rhodes' time with the club? Should he be sold? Let us know in the comments!
