Speaking to Sheffield Wednesday’s official website, first-team coach, Lee Bullen, has praised the Owls’ character insisting they are stronger this season than they have been previously.

Five consecutive victories have put Wednesday on course for a Play-Off appearance for the second year running, with Carlos Carvalhal’s side looking to avenge last season’s final defeat to Hull City.

Wednesday need just two-points to secure a place in the Play-Offs, and victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday will confirm Carvalhal’s side’s qualification.

Bullen has praised Wednesday for their determination to bounce back from last season’s disappointment, stating recent results have shown they are stronger than they were 12-months ago, he said:

“The lads have shown so much strength and resilience to come back stronger this season.

“There have been a few games that we may not have gone on to win in the past, like against Cardiff and QPR.”

Carvalhal’s side are five-points clear of seventh-placed Leeds United, and face Ipswich and Play-Off rivals Fulham in the remaining fixtures of the Championship season.

Wednesday are set to be joined in the Play-Offs by Reading, Huddersfield Town and Fulham.
