Sheffield United have seen their playoff push come to something of a halt after last weekend's loss at Birmingham City, and at the time of writing sat five points behind the top six with only two games remaining.

The Blades have had a successful season on the whole though, as Chris Wilder has led them to an excellent first season back in the Championship after a six year hiatus, and he will be looking forward to going again next year and once again making a push for the top six.

The summer window will be a massive one for United, who will be hoping that boardroom squabbles are put to one side and they can really hit the transfer market and make some excellent signings to compliment what is already a decent enough squad.

One place United will undoubtedly look is in League One, with the Blades having to manage their budget and not being able to spend like some clubs can.

With that in mind, we at FLW have taken a look at TWO League One players the Blades could look to sign this summer...

Marcus Maddison

The Peterborough midfielder has once again had an excellent season for the Posh, and has been delivering goals and assists in abundance for a number of seasons now.

One of the most highly sought after players below the top two tiers, Maddison is excellent across all the forward positions, and is a real goal threat.

His ability can certainly take him into the Championship, and he is someone who can add a bit of 'X-Factor- to proceedings at Bramall Lane.

Erhun Oztumer

With United employing someone in the number 10 role for much of the season, the signing of someone like Oztumer makes perfect sense.

The Turk has once again been in brilliant form for Walsall, contributing and impressive 14 goals to the cause.

With Mark Duffy well into his 30s now and Ricky Holmes struggling to make an impact at the Lane, Oztumer could well turn out to be an excellent capture for Sheffield United.
