Sheffield United will be hoping for a draw between Leeds and Norwich this weekend as they look to reel the pair in.

The Blades face Bolton and will need to do their job too, though, and so we caught up with S24SU.com's Martin Fox to preview the game and talk the January window as well...

1. Are you pleased with how the January window has gone?

We’re looking stronger as a squad this year than last year, which should hopefully allow us to not experience the same drop off in form that saw us drift away last season.

Scott Hogan has signed, giving us another option at the top of the pitch. He’ll also be hungry to prove a point having not had the start to his time at Villa that he’d have wanted.

2. With many of your promotion rivals facing one another, how crucial are three points here?

Three points are essential, we’ve put ourselves into a fantastic position, it’s games like this that we need to ensure we win to take advantage of the position we’re in. Bolton will be doing everything they can to stop that from happening and it won’t be an easy game, but it’s a game that we have to be winning if we’re going to challenge.

3. A cracking 2-2 game was played out last time, what can the Blades take from their performance at Norwich?

It’s one that most would have likely taken before kick-off and it was a fair result, but at the same time, it was a fixture we could have won. Some had criticised our record against top 6 sides, but a draw with Norwich is respectable with Leeds on the horizon in a few weeks time, hopefully we can have a happy visit to Elland Road like last time around!

4. If Scott Hogan has arrived, can you see him making his debut?

I think that he’ll be on the bench and we’ll likely start with Sharp and McGoldrick or Sharp and Madine. He’ll definitely get his chance and it’s nice to have a wealth of options, all with differing attributes. With this ‘luxury’ I think it’s likely that unless he needs a rest or gets injured, we’ll be going with Sharp plus another depending on the opponent. It will be handy to have a number of options off the bench if we’re chasing a game or we’re struggling to score.

5. Score prediction

I’m hoping for an early goal and a Blades win. I’ll go 2-0.
