Sheffield United are hoping to make a real splash in the Championship this season.
After spending two seasons in the Premier League the Blades are back in the second tier and putting their hopes into a promotion push as they look to return to the top flight.
Slavisa Jokanovic is in charge and will have big plans when it comes to transfers, with plenty of players likely to come in and out of the club.
The transfer window may only be in the early staged but the Yorkshire side are already being discussed with regards to incoming and outgoings.
With that in mind here’s the latest from Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United are ‘very keen’ to make a summer move for Matt Clarke, according to Alan Nixon of The Sun.
The Brighton defender is facing an uncertain future with the Premier League side after struggling to break into Graham Potter’s side in the two years since he joined the club.
Clarke has spent the last two campaigns on loan with Derby County, but with the Rams in a difficult off-field position, Nixon believes that the Blades are among the clubs who have the means to pull off a deal.
Brighton. Matt Clarke wanted man. Derby can’t do that one in a hurry. Poss interest in a buy. Sheff U very keen among others. And have money plus poss vacancy if Bryan goes.

The midfielder is set to be handed an opportunity to impress Slavisa Jokanovic, according to reports from The Sheffield Star.
Freeman moved to Bramall Lane two years ago after leaving Queens Park Rangers but has found first team opportunities hard to come by due to the club’s position in the Premier League.
Last term saw the 29-year-old spend the season with Nottingham Forest however some bad luck with injuries stopped him from making his mark.
Both Bournemouth and Stoke City have been credited with an interest in the player, but it seems that Freeman will have the chance to stake his claim at Bramall Lane before a move away is pondered.
Sheffield United are set to hold firm on their £35million release clause as Arsenal’s interest intensifies.
Reports from the Daily Star believe that the Blades will not be considering any offers for less than that amount as they look to maximise their return on the in-demand midfielder.
Clubs such as Napoli and Atalanta are also keen on the player but for any side keen to strike a deal for the 23-year-old it seems that they’ll need to pay top dollar.
