Sheffield United and Cardiff City are among the clubs interested in signing Rotherham midfielder Will Vaulks in the summer.
The 25-year-old has been a standout performer for the Millers this season as they look to preserve their status in the Championship.
He has scored five goals from midfield and also impressed with his overall work-rate and ability from the middle of the park.
However, they face a battle to keep the energetic Vaulks at the club, with the former Falkirk man set to be in the final year of his contract this summer.
And, according to the Mail, the Blades are keen on the player, along with Neil Warnock’s Bluebirds, with the pair sending scouts to watch Vaulks against Wigan this afternoon.
As well as that, the report states a representative from a Serie A side will also be at the New York Stadium to cast an eye on Paul Warne’s main man.
Blades boss Chris Wilder will hope that his side will be able to offer Premier League football to Vaulks, with Sheffield United firmly in the hunt for an automatic promotion place.
Most Rotherham fans will recognise that they are likely to lose Vaulks in the summer whatever happens because of his contract situation.
It’s the last chance to get a decent fee for him and he can clearly play for clubs higher up.
He seems to have qualities that would suit both Sheffield United and Cardiff but there’s sure to be a lot of interest if he maintains his good form until the end of the season.
