Sheffield United’s pursuit of Burnley’s lead in the Championship table continues this weekend following a brief reprieve through the FA Cup last Saturday.

The Blades are currently five points behind Vincent Kompany’s side as we begin February’s run of games.

Paul Heckingbottom’s team travel to take on Rotherham United, who themselves will be looking to increase the gap to the bottom three at the other end of the table.

While 26 points may separate them in the standings, the visitors will be wary of the threat that Matt Taylor’s side represents.

Here we look at the players set to miss Saturday’s clash for the Blades…

Daniel Jebbison

The forward has been in good form for United lately but he will begin serving a three-game suspension this weekend.

Jebbison received a straight red card in the dramatic 3-3 draw with Wrexham United in the FA Cup.

That means he will also be unavailable for games against Wrexham and Swansea City.

Ciaran Clark

Clark has been absent from the United team due to a hamstring injury but his recovery is almost complete.

However, he is not quite ready to make his return to the side and so will miss the derby clash against the Millers

John Fleck

Fleck is in a similar position as Clark, having been out of the team with a leg injury.

While he is close to making a return to the team, he is also set to miss out this weekend.

Enda Stevens

Stevens suffered a muscle injury in January, which Heckingbottom has previously confirmed will keep him out for a number of weeks.

His return has not been mooted ahead of Saturday’s clash so it is unlikely we will see him re-appear against Rotherham.

George Baldock

Baldock also suffered a muscle issue that has kept him out of the squad since the FA Cup win over Millwall.

A similar timeframe has been given for his return, which means he is also set to miss the Rotherham game.

Rhian Brewster, Rhys Norrington-Davies, Jack O’Connell

The trio have all been long-term absences from the team, with Brewster and Norrington-Davies last competing for United in October.

O’Connell has missed the entirety of the campaign so far through a series of setbacks with his knee injury.

None of these players will feature this weekend.
