Sheffield United are yet to decide if they will resurrect their interest in Kasey Palmer this summer.

Chris Wilder previously showed an interest in taking Palmer on-loan, but no move materialised.

According to the Sheffield Star, the Blades are yet to decide if they will resurrect their attempts to sign the Chelsea youngster this summer, as Wilder looks to put his plans in place ahead of next season.

Palmer has previously impressed in the Championship, with the 21-year-old representing Huddersfield Town and Derby County over the last two years.

The midfielder’s spell at Huddersfield during the 2016/17 campaign saw him win promotion to the Premier League, with Palmer bagging four goals for David Wagner’s side.

After a tough spell with Huddersfield in the Premier League, Palmer joined Derby County on-loan last season.

The 21-year-old made 16 appearances for the Rams, scoring two goals, as they finished sixth in the Championship.

Palmer couldn’t win a second promotion on the bounce, however, with Derby falling at the first hurdle in the play-offs.

After coming through Chelsea’s academy, Palmer is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues.

The Verdict

Should Wilder resurrect his interest, Palmer could be a shrewd addition.

In the last two years, he has impressed in the Championship and has arguably deserved a lot more game time.

More opportunities would probably come they player’s way at Bramall Lane and it could be a transfer that’s good for all parties involved.

This should be a move seriously considered by Wilder.
