Speaking to the club's official website, Sheffield United star Enda Stevens has revealed what he thinks shows how far the club has come this season already.

The men from Bramall Lane were, of course, one of the promoted sides from League 1 coming into this campaign but you wouldn't believe that now with them easily one of the sides challenging for Premier League status. It is credit to Chris Wilder and the work he has done for the club with his players and Stevens feels that clubs have had to do their homework on them now, which should be taken as a compliment.

He said:

"We've earnt the respect of other teams in the Championship and they've no doubt done their homework and recognised how well we've been playing.

"It's a compliment to us when teams like Ipswich change their formation to face us, but we just focus on executing our game plan to try and win the match."

Certainly, the Blades' win over Ipswich was another top display the weekend just gone and with wins over the likes of Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves under their belts, too, the Blades are a real force to be reckoned with. Stevens clearly feels that the changes opposition sides are making against them underlines that, too, and now it just remains to be seen whether or not they can carry this form on.

The Verdict

There can surely be no sides left in the division under-estimating Sheffield United because they look as though they are here to stay the top of the league.

The men from Bramall Lane have been utterly superb and it wouldn't be any surprise at all to see them keep that up for the rest of the year now.
