Sheffield United's season has been an excellent one so far, and the Blades look like being firmly involved in the promotion picture come the end of the season.

Manager Chris Wilder has done a superb job of blending team spirit and a unique style of football to make the Bramall Lane club one of the most feared sides in the division on their day.

However, there is an errant lack of attacking talent in the Blades squad, and despite the goalscoring exploits of Billy Sharp and the form of David McGoldrick, it's blatantly clear that United need to delve into the market in the winter to strengthen their ranks.

And one man we think the club can simply not afford to miss out on is Sunderland starlet Josh Maja, who is making quite a name for himself down in League One under manager Jack Ross.

Maja, who is valued at a relatively small £250k by Transfermarkt, already looks to be capable of going on to bigger and better things, and it would be a huge surprise to see Maja still at the Stadium of Light come the end of the current campaign.

The Blades though, can steal a march on any other clubs interested in the young striker by making their move in January, and Maja would surely be hard pressed to turn down a move to a club like United, who are clearly on the up.

Quick, powerful, and full of potential, Maja would be a superb buy for the Blades both for now and the future.
