It was a pretty decent first campaign back in the Sky Bet Championship for Sheffield United and the task for their boss Chris Wilder next season will be to try and improve and reach the play-offs.

The Blades narrowly missed out on the top six during 2017/18 after an end of the season slump but if truth be told the 10th placed finish which they secured was way beyond par for the course before a ball was kicked anyway.

If United are to progress next season Wilder will probably look to sign some reinforcements during the summer to aid his side's quest to reach the Premier League.

With budget restrictions likely to be implemented once again it seems logical that Wilder will look towards bargains and possibly the loan market for any new additions he makes to his squad.

One man who would represent a good loan signing for the Blades is Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda who boasts lots of potential but has just returned from a pretty poor loan spell with Scottish treble winners Celtic.

The Belgian now faces a big season and it is vital that Chelsea send him to a club where he will begin to fulfill his undoubted potential and Sheffield United could be perfect for the 21-year-old.

Comfortable on either wing or in the hole behind the strikers, Musonda would add some vital creativity for Leon Clarke and Billy Sharp, both of whom were in scintillating form during the 2017/18 campaign.

Sheffield United fans, would you welcome the Chelsea youngster to the club? Let us know in the comments below!!!
