Sheffield United currently sit just below the playoff spots after chucking away three points in both of their last two fixtures against Brentford and Cardiff.

A Yorkshire derby with Barnsley awaits them today, and the Blades will be hoping for a huge three points ahead of their crucial tie with playoff hopefuls Middlesbrough the week after.

Manager Chris Wilder has done a superb job for United, guiding them to promotion from League One with ease and adapting his team to life in the Championship with the same ease, with the club sitting in and among the top six for much of the campaign.

January saw Wilder venture into the transfer market and add the likes of Ricky Holmes and James Wilson to his squad, but there is a feeling at Bramall Lane that more is needed, and we think this summer could be a big one for United.

One player we think they should be looking to sign is Walsall midfielder Erhun Oztumer, who has once again had a standout season in the third tier, impressing for the Saddlers with 14 goals to his name.

The little playmaker has always been a player to catch the eye, but has so far failed to be given the chance to perform at a higher level, and a move to Bramall Lane under Wilder could well be the perfect move for Oztumer.

He wouldn't cost the world, and would be a suitable replacement for the ageing Mark Duffy in the Blades squad. An ideal signing for United if they can pull it off in the summer.

Blades fans, what do you think? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
