Sheffield United will embark on their first season back in the Sky Bet Championship during 2017/18 and after six years in the wilderness of League One, the Blades will undoubtedly be keen to make their mark in the second tier.

In order to ensure that the next campaign is a successful one the South Yorkshire-based club will need to be well stocked up with players who boast Championship experience and boss Chris Wilder is set for a busy summer.

The Blades' boss has already been busy strengthening his squad ahead of next season with striker Ched Evans and winger Nathan Thomas already penning deals to sign for the newly promoted club.

The signing of the duo has caused something of a stir however with some of the Blades supporters questioning whether or not they can do a job for the club in the Championship.

One area that Wilder might look to strengthen in during the summer months is at the back and free agent Daniel Pinillos could be a brilliant signing for the club at left-back.

The Spaniard was released by Nottingham Forest yesterday much to the surprise of the Forest faithful, with many supporters still of the belief that he could do a job for the Reds next season.

Despite some recent injury concerns there is little to doubt that the 24-year-old is an exceptional talent when it comes to playing in the Championship and Forest fans have previously praised ex-boss Dougie Freedman for unearthing such a gem.

Wilder would be wise to bolster his squad with the signing of Pinillos, who would naturally add some crucial Championship expertise to his group of players whilst also offering them the edge on any rival clubs who will also be in the race for his signature.

Sheffield United fans, would you welcome Daniel Pinillos to Bramall Lane this summer? Let us know in the comments below!!!
