Sheffield United are looking to extend the current contracts of defenders Kieron Freeman and Enda Stevens.

The international pair - selected by Wales and Ireland respectively - have both played key roles for the Blades in the last two seasons, and now, according to the Sheffield Telegraph, manager Chris Wilder wants to reward the duo with new deals to stay at Bramall Lane.

Right sided wing back Freeman was instrumental as the Blades romped to League One success two years back, hitting double figures ane becoming a fan favourite before injury curtailed much of his progress last season as George Baldock took his place.

Stevens on the other hand has been an ever present ever since signing from Portsmouth following the club's promotion to the Championship, and his performances down the left hand side have been one of the most consistent factors in an impressive Blades side.

Currently sitting top of the Championship pile, manager Wilder will be keen to ensure his current crop of stars remain together for as long as possible as he seeks consistency and ultimately, a promotion to the Premier League.
