What year were the club founded?

According to the latest report from The Sun on Sunday (25/07/21, p62), Sheffield United are now keen to secure a loan deal with Liverpool for Elliott this summer, alongside their interest in defender Ben Davies as well.

The report adds that Liverpool could want to loan the attacker out to a side that are likely to be challenging near the top-end of the Championship next term if they are to sanction a loan move.

The verdict

This would be an excellent signing for Sheffield United and one that you could see paying off really handsomely for the Blades. Elliott is a player that has already shown he has real star quality and he backed that up with plenty of end product last season with Blackburn Rovers. You could see him replicating that if not even more if he makes this move this summer.

Slavisa Jokanovic has proven before that he is good at getting the best out of player’s with the talent and potential of Elliot and he could be the perfect manager to unlock the best form from the attacker next term.

You could therefore see the 18-year-old thriving at Bramall Lane and he could be that real match-winner you need to challenge for promotion.

Sheffield United should be seen as an attractive destination for Liverpool in terms of Elliot because they know Jokanovic will have his side playing on the front foot.

The 18-year-old should get chances to play week in week out and continue to show his impressive form from last season playing alongside even better players at Bramall Lane.
