Sheffield United suffered a third defeat in four on Friday night after Aden Flint's last minute goal secured a vital three points for Bristol City.

The result leaves the Blades down in sixth despite their magnificent start. Just last month the Yorkshire club were fighting it out at the top of the table, but Chris Wilder's men will now be looking over their shoulder at Leeds who are just four points behind them.

In fairness to United, they were hugely unfortunate on Friday, hitting the woodwork four times. However, after John Fleck was sent off, many felt Wilder should've settled for the point. Instead, attacking subs were made and the Robins took control.

Yet, goalkeeper Simon Moore insisted to the Sheffield Star that the Blades are right to continue with their style. “We’re an attacking team. We’ve attacked and kept lots of clean sheets and got lots of results."

"At the minute, we’re just on one of those runs. But that’s not changed our belief and we know, if we keep the same outlook, then we’ll get ourselves to where we want to be.”

The Verdict

It's a tough one for Chris Wilder. On one hand, why would you go away from a style of play that has brought you so much success? But, it's about getting points and on Friday that attitude undoubtedly cost them.

Yet, from Moore's comments the Blades are certainly going to carry on playing the same way and you can understand why.

Although, there has to be a tipping point and if the results continue to suffer then Wilder will have to be pragmatic as Sheffield United are in with a chance of promotion and won't want to let this opportunity pass.
