Sheffield United's new midfielder Lee Evans has been speaking to the Sheffield Star and says he refuses to be drawn in or intimidated by the spending power of his former employers Wolves, ahead of today's late kickoff in the Championship.

The Blades and Evans travel to Molineux hoping to pick up a double over the league leaders after defeating Nuno Santo's men 2-0 at Bramall Lane earlier in the campaign. Many will see United as big underdogs heading into the game, but Evans is in defiant mood.

"He, the gaffer, stresses that to us numerous times,” Evans said. “That others can spend what they like but, at the end of the day, it’s eleven versus eleven. If you look at their starting line-up on the night, they will have spent however many millions. But we know, with our team and our system, we can cause any team a problem. It’s down to us to turn-up."

The message will be music to the ears of Blades fans who will no doubt be fearing the worst following a poor run of form and a late defeat last time out against Aston Villa last weekend.

Evans also went into more detail, praising his manager Chris Wilder for venturing into different markets, including League One, and getting the best out of players and 'giving them an opportunity' to come to Bramall Lane and impress in the second tier.

Sheffield United fans, what do you think? Do you agree with Evans? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
