Sheffield United face Brentford in the Sky Bet Championship at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night and will be looking to win in order to keep pace with Leeds United and Norwich City in the race for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Chris Wilder's side are in excellent form at the moment and are unbeaten in their last eight matches. They will be hoping to keep their momentum going with another win against the Bees, ahead of a crucial clash with Leeds at Elland Road at the weekend.

Wilder and his players will no doubt know the importance of that game, but they cannot afford to be distracted ahead of their meeting with the Brentford.

While there is no denying that it is a must-win game for both teams at the weekend, tomorrow night's game is just as important for the Blades with Leeds also in action against relegation-threatened Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

With Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds currently two points ahead of the Blades in second place, Wilder's side must win to keep the pressure on their rivals ahead of the big game on Saturday.

The Blades will be confident going into tomorrow night's game having won their last six at home without conceding a goal, but Wilder and his players cannot afford to underestimate Brentford who are in good form themselves, winning three out of their last four league games.

Thomas Frank's side will come into this game in good spirits after coming from behind to stun play-off contenders Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday, with two goals in the final 20 minutes.

Wilder must decide whether to recall veteran striker Billy Sharp to his starting line-up, having dropped the frontman to the bench for the 2-0 win over Rotherham on Saturday.

Sharp has scored 22 goals for the Blades in the Championship this season and would pose a big threat against Brentford.
