Sheffield United striker Leon Clarke has admitted that he wants more goals in 2018 after enjoying a stunning start to the campaign for the Blades in 2017.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Clarke admitted that he doesn’t really set personal targets for himself, but admitted he would like to just keep on scoring goals while he can at Bramall Lane.
The in form striker has bagged 14 times this season in what has been a stunning campaign for United so far, and he is confident that with himself and the club’s other strikers, the Blades have enough to keep up their good form.
Clarke spoke of his similarities with Clayton Donaldson, while praising captain Billy Sharp for being a team player and a ‘fox in the box’, while he also called talented youngster David Brooks a ‘wild card’.
The big striker will be hoping to celebrate his new contract with the club in fine form by leading them to victory over Derby County on New Years Day, after losing at Bramall Lane to Bolton Wanderers yesterday.
Blades fans, what do you think to Clarke this season? Let us know in the comments!
