Sheffield United midfielder Chris Basham has revealed there were some harsh words said in the Blades dressing room following the weekend loss to Preston North End.

In an interview with the Sheffield Star, the versatile United man revealed that the players had 'fronted each other up' in the dressing room following the game, and admitted some frank discussions and opinions were offered between the players.

However, Basham also revealed the opinions and thoughts were taken on board by the players, and he praised the fact that 'everyone takes it in the right way'.

The Blades had begun the season in sensational form, even sitting top of the pile in the opening months of the campaign, but four losses in the last five games has seen their progress halted somewhat, and they are without a win in five as they head to Aston Villa this weekend.

Basham though insists that everyone 'wants the best for the club' and also praised the team spirit within the camp at Bramall Lane.

Jordan Hugill's goal was the decisive moment yesterday as United lost out to North End, and manager Chris Wilder will be hoping his charges can come out fighting next weekend in front of the Sky cameras.

Blades fans, what do you think? Is Basham right to reveal this? Can you bounce back? Let us know in the comments!
