Sheffield United midfielder Louis Reed has offered big praise to one of his Chesterfield teammates, in a report by the Derbyshire Times.

Young midfield ace Reed, who is currently enjoying a loan spell with the Spireites for the season, was happy to see his teammate Jerome Binnom-Williams finally make his Chesterfield bow after suffering a serious injury in pre-season which curtailed his progress.

Saturday was his debut, I know he’s played in a few of the pre-season games in Spain but it’s the first chance I’ve had to see him play and the new manager as well,” said Reed. “He’s something different for us."

Reed also praised Binnom-Williams for his off field presence and personality, saying the 20-year-old is a 'great character'.

The on-loan Sheffield United man also reserved praise for fellow loanee midfielder Andy Kellet, who has been impressing of late with some ever improving performances for the League Two outfit.

Chesterfield sit bottom of the League Two table though and have plenty of work to do to avoid the drop. Reed himself will be hoping to call on his experience in the league above to draw them clear, but will also have one eye on getting back in among things at Sheffield United, given the news midfielder Paul Coutts is set to miss the rest of the season with injury.

Chesterfield and Sheffield United fans, what do you make of Reed? Has he impressed? Can he make the step back up to the Blades first team? Let us know!
