Charlton Athletic and Sheffield United are both battling it out for the signature of MK Dons midfielder Ben Reeves, according to reports from News Shopper.

Reeves is no stranger to Charlton boss Karl Robinson, having played numerous times for the Dons under the young manager, and has made a total of 110 appearances for the Milton Keynes club, netting 24 times.

Reeves’ agent John Sorzano of Omni Sports told News Shopper: “The interest is there from Charlton, a firm offer has been made and it’s a very good one for the level that Charlton are at now.”

League One champions Sheffield United, however, also remain interested in the 25-year old, when his contract expires at the end of the current campaign.

United have already declared a serious interest in Charlton Athletic star Ricky Holmes, and could look to stick the dagger in even more by also landing the playmaker.

Reeves scored 10 times in a disappointing 2016/17 campaign for Robbie Neilson’s men, and is deservedly attracting interest from the likes of the Blades, the Addicks and other Championship outfits.
