The Blades, who will be hoping to get the game on and try and take three points from Neil Warnock's side, have issued an update to fans ahead of the game, and it looks like good news for both Sheffield United fans and those travelling up from Wales.

"United remain positive that the Easter Monday clash against Cardiff City at Bramall Lane will go ahead as planned, despite more adverse weather across Sheffield (as of 12noon). Following heavy snowfall on Monday morning, currently turning to persistent rain, the pitch is currently covered, but work is already underway to clear it and ensure it is playable ahead of the scheduled 7.45pm kick-off."

"Surrounding areas are also improving and further work will continue as the day progresses to make them safe ahead of the arrival of supporters this evening."

The update will no doubt be excellent news for the Blades fans, who will have been nervous about the game fallig foul to the weather after seeing the likes of Nottingham Forest and Doncaster Rovers already call their games off today.
